Gathering any group is a challenge for any travel excursion but a heli ski holiday will have its own unique challenges along with being a time-consuming process. This means you have get started early, a year or more in advance.
The heliski season offers limited seating in its short 4months of operation. Some lodges only taking up to 12 guests, which worksperfectly for a lodge buyout creating an intimate setting. Others 18 to 24 guestsand a handful who accommodate more. Then there are lodges which cater to groupsof up to 5 or 6 which would be classified as the ultimate of the ultimate. Allof these options would be classified as a Private or Custom Private.
In short here is how we start:
1. Having a general idea of # of people, knowing this number can change.
2. Understanding the options heli operators have for accommodating your group.
3. Define individual ability levels
4. Preferred time of season. Could be defined by options and availability.
Having these first few ever-changing steps in motion will create an accurate path in finding, what is best for the group! Operators are already booking 2024 with some dates already booked which makes group bookings a little more challenging. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already preparing for 2025!
Once all has been determined, a non-refundable deposit is what it takes secure your selection. The amount of deposit is formulated around number of days. However, It could be a % or a pre-determined amount. This deposit can be protected with Trip Cancellation Insurance. But know, that the operator will do what is possible to make a change in date, availability dependent. Balance is due 90 days or 3 months before arrival date.
There is a lot to do but it is so worth it! Imagine a heliskiing playground endless options to epic terrain!
All information is operator fed and all monies are paid direct to the operator. Heliski Holiday has no fees so the operator rate is what is paid!
