ummit Heliskiing is a family owned heliskiing operation,operating in the magnificent mountain landscapes of Troll Peninsula in NorthIceland. Catering to small groups with personal service, excellent food and thermal pool. Semi-private and private experiences are operated from at their hub at Sóti Lodge at the edge of the Arctic Coastline.

Summit Heliskiing has built up an extraordinary all-Icelandic guiding team, who bring life long experiences of Icelandic snow conditions, skiing and mountain activities. Each member has specialized knowledge of outdoor adventures and quality tourism. The guides have extensive ski and mountain guiding in Iceland, Greenland and across the world. The headguide Leifur has been an instructor for the Canadian Avalanche Association and was the former Avalanche Forecasting Director in Iceland, as well as having guided Everest trips.
A typical action filled day starts with take off from Sóti Lodge. Choosing the routes for the day according to conditions, all skill levels are catered to in the diverse slopes at the northernmost tip of the Troll Peninsula. Long daylight hours allow them to choose the best time of day to ski, given weather and snow conditions. The Summit Heliskiing spring ski season starts in April, as those conditions stabilise in North Iceland.

Long daylight hours allow us to choose the best time of dayto ski, given weather and snow conditions. Early season and stormy periods equal powder skiing in a maritime climate, while long sunny days in late spring transform the snow into the perfect corn skiing conditions.
Hotel Sóti Lodge is the accommodation in the heart of Iceland’s adventure zone. It is a premium country hotel in Fljót, the heart of the Troll peninsula in North Iceland.
